January 1, 2004 - A labyrinth walk and at its center rose a vison of the Stone Circle...and in the center of the circle, stood the Great Blue Heron.

The Stone Circle Coven, located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, is a theologically liberal Wiccan coven. We have been adopted into the Protean family and have Gardnarian and Alexandrian lineages. We practice a living tradition that honors and celebrates both the male and female aspects of divinity, a tradition that provides a base which allows us to creatively clarify and deepen our understanding of Deity and ourselves. Wicca is a beautiful expression of spirituality that empowers us to walk our own paths and yet at the same time we recognize our indebtedness, and gratefully so, to the many wonderful teachers and priest/esses who have tread these well worn paths before us, particularly within the Gardnerian and Alexandrian traditions.
Our coven's focus is on personal transformation and we believe that ritual can be a powerful catalyst in that process. Our coven meets on the New Moon and Full Moon. These esbats are open only to coven members. The New Moons are usually reserved for teaching and the Full Moons for ritual.
Our coven provides rituals and workshops that are open to all on a positive path. Some of the workshops we have done or hosted are: "Asanas of the Wheel of the Year", "The Elemental Pentacle Meditation", "Medicinal Essential Oils", and "The Wiccan God". We have also created a series of rituals, titled collectively as "The Orpheus Rituals", which we hope to offer on a yearly basis.
We participate in the Sabbats which are held in Media, Pa. These rituals honor and celebrate the seasons of the year.
Currently our coven is closed for membership. However, if you would like to find out more about Stone Circle Coven and/or would like to be notified of our upcoming workshops and rituals, please contact Morgan le Fay at morganlefay@stonecircle.com.
